A simple silver band that is designed to take on the aesthetic of a torn piece of paper. When experimenting with the material, Laura became fascinated with the moment it transitioned from being a 2D sheet into a 3D object. Focusing on the natural tendency it has to curl when torn.
Laura wanted to translate that moment into sheet silver, which shares the same thickness as paper yet has extra strength - allowing the curve to remain in place. The torn edge on each piece is hand drawn and etched, contrasting with the straight edge - each Torn band is unique.
